What does the epoxy flooring process involve?
We can use either a two component epoxy paint or a one component epoxy resin. We scrape back the concrete surface, clean it and then apply a chemical bond breaker product . This product is a high viscosity adhesive which helps the epoxy coating bond to the concrete.
We then mix and apply the epoxy to the concrete. We can apply it in a number of different ways, including immersion, roller coating or spray application.
Typically, floor surfaces are coated in two coats of epoxy, either one top coat and then an optional protective clear coat or two lighter coats that are placed consecutively.
